Una catarsis o experiencia catártica, es una experiencia interior purificadora, de gran significado interior, provocada por un estímulo externo. Proviene del término griego Κάθαρσις, katarsis o katharsis que significa purga o purificación, y es un término aceptado por la Real Academia Española. El concepto de catarsis tiene profundas raíces antropológicas y a partir de esos orígenes, se la ha empleado en la medicina, la tragedia griega, el psicoanálisis, y hasta aplicada a la risa.

I used the spanish word (Catarsis) and not "Catharsis" because i don't know how the hell to spell it :)
